Jona's experience spans over 15 years. Starting in Devon, he spent four years making and restoring furniture and then moved to London and began site renovation of period properties.
His business later moved to a workshop in Peckham, South East London, where a passion for old materials started finding its way into his work.
Hunting around skips and reclamation yards for pieces of furniture to salvage or unusual bits of wood to reuse is now often the starting point for a design or project.
With this ethos in mind, Jona takes an alternative look at commissions in household spaces. Kitchen tops are made from Channel Tunnel support beams, poster boards take on a new form in furniture designs and floor joists are reincarnated for a period-style library.
Designs made with new wood are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) approved wherever possible.
Projects have ranged from full renovation of a Regency period Vicarage to an urban specialist trainer shop in Brick Lane.
